Dixie10 the Dog needs a home



Dixie is a lovely 2 yr old hirl who was surrendered to the Jefferson Parish shelter because her family couldn't care for her any more. In observing her we are convinced that she lived outside and was previously abused, possibly including being hit n the head. She is scared to have her head touched and will growl to protect herself. Dixie just loves being with people and will do anything to be near them. She is loving + cuddly. She is now being house broken and learning to live well with other dogs, to walk well on a leash. Ww are confident tat she will make a great + loving companion dog. Because of her fears we think that young children should definitely not be part of her nuclear family.
